Turn On (and Off) Airplane Mode

Update the iOS

Although I think iTunes is more reliable than using iTunes to check, network issues could prevent your iPhone from connecting to the update server.
Test for a malfunctioning SIM card
Your SIM card may be having a problem if your iPhone says it doesn’t have one. You can test this by inserting a SIM from another phone. You must use the right size SIM card for your phone, whether it is standard, microSIM or nanoSIM.
Contact Apple if All Else Fails
