How To Take A Screenshot On Xbox One?
It’s easy to take a screenshot of your favorite video game on Xbox One with the controller. To capture a screenshot, all you need to do is double-click the Xbox button. The screen will display a sidebar asking you whether you would like to capture a screenshot or the last 30 seconds.
To save the screenshot, just hit the Y button. The screen will display a dialog box informing you that your screenshot was successfully saved.
There are increasing numbers of Xbox One video games that can be played in 4K resolution. However, you will need a 4K TV set in order to play these 4K resolution games. Before you can play a game in 4K resolution, your TV must have HDR and 4K capabilities. You will need to adjust your capture settings in order to take a 4K screenshot of your device.
The System menu can be found by pressing the X button on your controller. Click on the Preferences menu, then select the Settings option from the System menu. Navigate to Broadcast&Capture and click on the New Menu. Click on the Game clip resolution and select one of the available 4K settings.

Capture Screenshots of Xbox One Using Voice Command
The Kinect motion sensor is still present in older versions of Xbox One, but the Microsoft Cortana sensor is now available in the latest versions. Both allow you to take screenshots by using voice commands. If your Xbox One is equipped with the Kinect motion sensor, then you can issue the command Xbox take a screenshot.
To view the screenshot right away after it was taken, you need to say Xbox take a screenshot and the screenshot will appear on the screen. Or you can push the X button on your controller and simply hold down the X button.
If your console has a Cortana motion sensor, you can say “Hello Cortana” to take a screenshot. To be able to use voice commands, however, you need to activate this option first. Go to the Xbox One’s Settings menu, and find the All Settings option. Click on System to activate the AI Companion feature.

You can access the Upload app on the console you’re currently using.
- To do this, simply tap the right bumper of the controller while you’re on the Xbox One’s home screen.
- You can see your friends’ content feed by repeating this process until you reach the Upload app.
- Click on the Menu button to open the screen.
- You will see a new window.
- Select the Share option to open it. Next, choose whether to send the screenshot to OneDrive, Twitter, or private message.
2. Manage and Share Screenshots via Windows 10 PC
You can download and save screenshots from the Xbox app to your computer’s hard disk. It is easy to follow and only requires a few steps. Once you have installed the app on your Windows 10 computer, you can open it.
Next, select Game DVR option. Choose Xbox Live from the DVR menu, then choose the screenshots or videos you want to save to your computer. To complete the process, click Download.
Once you have saved the images and videos to your computer, you will be able to access them via the Xbox app. Go back to the DVR menu, and choose the On this PC option. Select the screenshot that you wish to access, then click the Open Folder button. This will allow you to send your images by email or upload them anywhere you like on the Internet.
Deleting a Screenshot From Your Xbox One
- To open the guide menu, press the Xbox button on the controller.
- Use A on your controller to press the Home button.
- To open “Recent Captures“, go back to the guide menu and click the View button (to your left).
- Navigate to a clip and click the A button.
- You can choose to delete to remove the item from your console, Xbox Live, or both.
- Navigate to See all at the bottom if you are having trouble finding your clip. This will open Manage captures.
- Select the screenshot you wish to delete and click on the A button. This will open the full screenshot.
- To remove the trash can icon, click on the A button.
How to Take a Screenshot in Xbox 360
The Screenshot capability is currently unavailable on Xbox 360. To snap a screenshot, connect it to a computer and capture the moment using the computer’s built-in or a reputable snipping tool program. The instructions for taking a screenshot on the Xbox 360 are as follows.
Step 1: Set Up Your Xbox.
The first step is to connect your device to your PC or laptop using an HDMI or RCA wire. Before you do anything else, ensure sure your PC has a Vector graphics card that can support the Xbox.
Step 2: Use A Screen Capture Program.
Almost all new PCs come with a built-in Screenshot snipping utility as standard. If not, you can download and install any reputable software on your computer.
