How To Turn Off Xbox Controller?
Option 1: Via A Menu
You’ll first need to be able to turn the control off. Start your TV or movie. Play the movie. Next, hold down the Guide button until you see a menu.
By the way, the Guide button is the circular Xbox logo button. It is not called the “Xbox button” because it has no obvious purpose.

If You Have An Older Xbox One Wireless Controller
The Xbox wireless adapter is required if you don’t have one of the Bluetooth-equipped Xbox controllers or if you have a computer without Bluetooth. This is a Microsoft proprietary dongle that connects to the control via a dedicated wireless connection.
Once you have an adapter, simply plug it into a USB port on your Windows laptop/desktop and press the pairing button to turn the light on.
You can now switch on your Xbox controller using the central home button. Next, press and hold on to the pairing button at the top edge until the big ‘X” starts flashing.
The wireless adapter should now find your control pad automatically. After a few seconds, they will connect and the lights on both devices will stop blinking.
How to Reconnect Your Xbox Controller to Your Console
You can turn your Xbox controller wirelessly off by holding down the X button for approximately five seconds. The control will turn off when the light goes out.
Remember that your Xbox controller can be paired with your console by pressing the X button. Although you should be able to pair it wirelessly with either of these methods, you will need to turn off your console after you have done so.
