Although the question “Is Valorant on Xbox” is often asked, there has not yet been a console version. It would make sense for Valorant, given the current console generation, to release a console version, even though no official announcement has been made.
Let’s be with Dreamcheeky to get more useful information.
Riot Games Console Expansion Current
Riot Games is known for its constant growth and development. It ensures that players have fun and enjoy their games. Its recent expansion into mobile gaming is a clear sign of this. They also provide frequent patch updates for all their games. Mobile expansions have been added to games like League of Legends and Legends of Runeterra, as well as Teamfight Tactics.
Valorant Console Expansion Possibilities
Many sites offer streaming services for VALORANT betting and competitive VALORANT. The game will continue to grow and have more potential. The future looks bright, and Riot developers have repeatedly stated during Q&A sessions the possibility of console releases. This will be boosted by the growth of VALORANT 2021.
Riot Games has been focusing on the game’s balance since its inception, but they welcome the possibility of expanding to consoles. However, players are curious as to when and if VALORANT will be available on consoles.
Trevor Romleski, VALORANT’s lead designer, confirmed that Riot is “open to exploring new opportunities for other platforms.” – This was during the PC’s closed beta.
“Getting VALORANT running at 120Hz on next-gen consoles is an achievable goal.” – Riot principal engineer Felipe Romero told Eurogamer in June of last year. Hearing this confirms there is a chance of VALORANT expanding to consoles. Sadly, there is no definite time given for the release of VALORANT on Xbox consoles.
Riot Games is currently experimenting with consoles. Ruined King, A League of Legends Story, is currently being developed with console expansions. It is also possible that League of Legends: Wild Rift will be available on consoles in the future.
Is Valorant On Xbox?
It is highly unlikely.
Currently, not enough information is available to tell when VALORANT will be coming to Xbox. Gamespot’s Executive Producer Anna Donlon spoke to Donlon in an interview on June 4th. She stated that they are currently “prototyping a VALORANT console port”, but didn’t go into any further detail.
“But there’s a way to play this game and there’s a way to experience this game that we’re not entirely sure translates completely to console play.” – Donlon concluded.
Although gamers are optimistic, there is currently no official plan to release VALORANT on Xbox. If everything goes according to plan, Q3 2022 is the earliest possible release.
Will Valorant Get a PS4, PS5, and Nintendo Switch Release Dates?
Riot Games has not yet set a release date for any console. Although we know that the port is being tested by the developer, Riot Games has not yet specified when it will be made available.
Since ironing out the kinks in the PC version is still a priority for the team, it might be a while before we hear if the prototype port has been a success and when we could be seeing it on the likes of PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch.
Will Valorant Get A Release Date From IOS and Android?
Other major platforms mentioned in the early May leaks included Apple’s iOS phones and Android phones. They should all be receiving Valorant at one point. These platforms are directly mentioned in the code leak. They may therefore be the most advanced port of Valorant. This is to say that they will be released after the PC game, but likely before the console version.
Riot Games’ move to mobile is sensible if they want to reach the largest audience possible. Fortnite and Riot Games’ Teamfight Tactics have had success on mobile devices. There aren’t many shooters as polished as Valorant on iOS and Android.
Fortnite and PUBG Mobile would be its biggest competitors, but it would not be competing with other direct competitors such as Overwatch or Counter-Strike: Global Offensive.
Combating cheaters would be the biggest problem with a mobile version. Riot Games has made this a top priority on PC. They would need to figure out a way to transfer these systems to iOS and Android.
However, there are always options in the world of game porting. If Valorant performs well on PC, it will likely be available everywhere else. Mobile ports are likely to be available around the same time, or even earlier, as the Xbox One and PS4 versions of Valorant.
The release window for Valorant for PC may be closer than anticipated, but things are looking up. It’s possible that we will get it this year, but Anna Donlon’s comments should make you skeptical.
We’ll update the guide as soon as we hear of anything, but console players can for now just keep their fingers crossed.
